The Sannale handlebar cover set for the Thule Urban Glide 3 stroller is designed to fit the handlebar so neatly, that it makes it look as if the cover came with the stroller when first using it.

You can braid the cover on the stroller by yourself at home and you don’t have to bring the stroller anywhere to do it. We already have the dimensions of the handlebar, so you don’t need to measure anything when ordering.

Frequently asked questions about braiding

I got the covers. Is this cover supposed to stay like this so that the edges don’t reach around the handlebar to touch each other?

Yes. What this does is that the cover goes on under much tension. This, in turn, prevents the skin from creasing at the curves. So when you first see the Thule covers, you think that they are in the wrong size. But that is the way it should really be.

Which way does the cover go on, what’s on top and what’s underneath?

The cover has inscribed texts: above and below. Position the cover so that the text “top” is in the middle/above of the handlebar and the text “bottom” is at the edge/bottom.

Which way do I leave the seam?

Arrange the seam in the direction of the inside curve, as shown in the photos above. Thule has two bends though and so the position of the inside bend in the length of the handlebar changes. But start from the middle/top, set the stitches there in the middle and work your way down from there.

Is it ok that I have to pull the braiding cord so hard?

Yes. The ropes are strong and you can pull on them with confidence. Braid 4-5cm, then pull the finished area tight. Then again 4-5cm and then tighten. It is part of the job to pull the strings and this will ensure a flat result in the bends.
The fingers and nails must remain intact when you pull, then everything is OK and in the right size.
